Jonathan Lesesne '07

Vice President

Born and raised in Atlanta, GA, Lesesne attended Dartmouth College in the early 2000s and has vivid memories of his first Hanover, NH Winter (as well as the first “mud season” the following Spring)! While at Dartmouth, Lesesne worked on various welcoming events for prospective and incoming underrepresented students. He was a member of the African American Society Executive Board, and participated in the Big Brothers/Big Sisters program, the Dartmouth Alliance for Children of Color, peer tutoring, as well as interning with the Dartmouth Partners for Community Service. He majored in North American History that included both the United States and Central America.

Following undergraduate, Lesesne obtained his MPH in Environmental & Occupational Health from the University of Washington in Seattle, WA in 2010. After graduate school, Lesesne moved back to Atlanta and began his career working in consumer safety at the local government level.

In 2014, he moved to the Washington, DC metro area where he continued to work as a Public Health professional in the private sector, before transitioning back into public service with the Federal government in Silver Spring, MD in 2016. Lesesne firmly believes in the importance of carrying on the rich history of BADA that has persisted for over half a century. Prior to serving in this current role, he has worked alongside Brian P. Sylvester ’05 as a BADA Regional Representative for the greater Washington, DC area since 2018.

As the BADA Vice President, Lesesne is looking forward to not only bridging gaps between various generations of Black alumni, but also working with other Dartmouth Affiliated groups to promote constructive social justice initiatives in Hanover and beyond.
